The Monkees, Milk and Cookies

Just had to share this little clip that brings me back to my 70's childhood. I was saddened to hear about the death of Davy Jones today at 66. He will forever remain in my heart with this sweet song and so many others that remind me of those times. I couldn't wait to get home from school, grab my Oreos or Chips-Ahoy and milk and sit down to a Monkee's episode. This clip is especially cute with the little dance Davy does and I love the end where they're crowding each other out. I can still see them running down the street with the bed...

  1. Remember how "grown up" they all seemed back then ... now I watch this and think "what babies they were." Another reminder how fast it all goes so enjoy every moment that you can!

  2. They look so young don't they? Thanks it's so true! Loving your blog- couldn't leave a comment, but tried. It's been really enjoyable! I think we like a lot of the same things!

    Have a nice weekend!

  3. Hi Kim, I loved the Monkees when i was kid too, loved the opening bit of the show when they were doing whacky things like walking down the street in diving flippers. So glad you have a blog too so I can drop by xx

    1. Blighty,
I'm thrilled you stopped by! Yes, sorry I am posting these ancient things, but just love them! Poor Mickey, he wasn't a looker was he? The glasses guy is cute and the blonde one too. I would have dated any of them if I weren't a small child! :)

  5. Ladies! Glasses guy is Mike and Peter is the cute blond (my favorite way back when). And you call yourselves fans! :-)
Thank you sooo much for the video - so complete and so ahead of its time. (ie: MTV worthy - when MTV showed music videos)
The Monkeys will always bring a smile to my face and remind me of a young girls heart.
    Cheers!
