New Years Inspiration!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Boy the year went fast didn't it? Is that what you start saying the older you get? Tonight we are going to be with a few old and dear friends for a low key, but fun get-together.  I haven't hosted NYE in a while, but I saved some of these favorites for inspiration....

I love a silver or any big bowl with champagne bottles and ice.
This is chic with the black and branches!

Even adding little winter ephemera is a nice touch.

Isn't this clever with the paperwhites and little lights via Habitually Chic. It's a great New Year's look, so fun and mine have just bloomed. Candles or little wired lights would be so pretty with this.

I just love these Champagne Bubbles glasses from Anthropologie

Champagne coupes are back in style and I pulled my parent's wedding ones out for a little New Year's toast. I love that the champagne can go all the way to the bottom of the stems on these circa 1964.

Shopping the year end sales online last night I was wishing I had these to wear tonight. I love these Tory Burch Kellan flats on sale now. Also if you enter code NewYear at checkout you get another 25% off until January 5!! Something about pretty shoes just gives me a lift!

So what to wear?
I bought two black dresses this season for a holiday party and ended up keeping both.

This black jacquard shift from Banana was easy and flattering and I loved it's quilted fabric. I like it with these ankle wrap wedges that look a little hip, or it could be boring. I just looked and it's already 50% off ! A great dress for anyone's wardrobe!

I also got this Splendid drop waist shift with mesh sleeves. It's very California casual and I can see this worn summertime too with sandals and even at the beach. I will wear with my nude pumps and daingly earrings for a dressier festive look. (Don't look at my messy room!)

I may just wear this flesh toned shell with black overlay and a little faux fur wrap and skinny black pants. I have some snowflake earrings that need another outing! It's been so chilly here the past few nights that pants sound good right now!

I love this photo of the palms and twinkle lights....

May you all have some fun and a little glitter tonight!

Here's to 2015!!

Hugs to you all!

xx Kim

  8. Happy New Year, dear Kim! I'm catching up after our 5 days in San Francisco. Your details look so pretty for the holidays. I love the coupes! How special to have the sentimental value. You look beautiful in the LBD-always a hit. I'm sorry we weren't able to connect on this trip. SF was fab! It looks like you had snowy holiday fun in the mountains and then in wine country. Perfect! Here's to a wonderful 2015 Kim! xx, Heather
